Preschool

Last night we went to Open House at the church for Kirk to meet his teacher and see his classroom. He was way impressed with the playground. So this morning when it was time to go, he was ready. He looked so cute wearing his backpack and carrying his lunchbox. When I dropped him off he went straight to his chair and started stamping away at his activity sheet. I checked back in on him a few hours later and he was still doing fine. When I went to pick him up he was on the playground rocking away on the teeter-totter. He finally saw me and came into his classroom. I told him to get his backpack so that we could go home, and he went to his chair at the table at plopped down. He was not ready to go. He eventually gathered his things and told everyone bye-bye. And of course he did not take a nap with the other kids, so he fell asleep on the way home. Although he was wore out, I think he had a great first day at preschool.
